The Omaha System is a research-based, comprehensive practice and documentation standardized taxonomy designed to describe client care and generate consistent and accurate data. It exists in the public domain, and consists of the Problem Classification Scheme (assessment), Intervention Scheme (care plans and services), and Problem Rating Scale for Outcomes (evaluation). 
The mission of PSNI is to provide members with networking, education and information resources that enrich their role in the field of nursing informatics. PSNI is the place to promote the practice of nursing informatics while providing networking and educational opportunities. We support and provide information to nurses, healthcare professionals, and students interested in entering the field of nursing informatics.

UNIN was formed in 1996 to provide a network for healthcare informaticists in Utah and the Intermountain area.  Membership is open to all who have interest in the field of healthcare informatics.  Our membership represents many area health care institutions, universities, and businesses.
