The Academy serves the public and the nursing profession by advancing health policy and practice through the generation, synthesis, and dissemination of nursing knowledge. Every day across America, the Academy and its members create and execute knowledge-driving and policy-related initiates to drive reform of America's health system.

As the collective voice for academic nursing, AACN serves as the catalyst for excellence and innovation in nursing education, research, and practice. Based in Washington, DC, AACN represents more than 810 schools of nursing nationwide that offer a mix of baccalaureate, master’s, doctoral, and/or post-doctoral programs.

AMIA aims to lead the way in transforming health care through trusted science, education, and the practice of informatics. AMIA connects a broad community of professionals and students interested in informatics who seek to improve outcomes, lower costs, increase safety and promote the use of high-quality services.  

The American Nurses Association (ANA) is the premier organization representing the interests of the nation's 3.6 million registered nurses. ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting a safe and ethical work environment, bolstering the health and wellness of nurses, and advocating on health care issues that affect nurses and the public. ANA is at the forefront of improving the quality of health care for all. 

ANIA Mission is to advance nursing informatics through education, research, and practice in all roles and settings. The ANIA Vision is to be the organization of choice to advance nursing informatics.  

As the national professional organization of more than 9,800 nurse leaders, the American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL) is the voice of nursing leadership in health care. Previously known as the American Organization for Nurse Executives (AONE), the organization changed its name in 2019 to better align with its core mission and vision.

The AORN Foundation is the philanthropic arm of AORN. The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that funds academic scholarships, professional development grants, and patient safety resources such as tool kits, webinars, and seminar series.

Since 1969, the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) has been the foremost authority  promoting the health of women and newborns and strengthening the nursing profession through the delivery of superior advocacy, research, education, and other professional and clinical resources.  AWHONN represents the interests of 350,000 registered nurses working in women's health, obstetric, and neonatal nursing across the United States.
